Fantastic morning at the careers fair at Littleport and East Cambs Academy where Jo talked all things fibre optic, data and telecoms.
Jo also chatted to the students about Network Installer apprenticeships (thanks Alanna Brown from VQ Solutions Ltd for the marketing material!), showed some retro telecom bits off just for fun (and felt very old that some students had no idea what a phone with a rotary dial was!), explained a training board our apprentice Zachary made, and demonstrated fusion splicing and mind-blowing fibre facts!
We were really impressed with the level of engagement from students across all years, asking questions and keen to see how it all worked.
You never know with these things, might have sparked an interest in some budding future engineers there? Hope so.
